The numbers on how much oil has been flowing out of the Deepwater Horizon varied wildly since it sank on April 22, 2010. At the low end, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) estimated 210,000 gallons (5,000 barrels) were flowing into the Gulf per day, which was the initial, official estimate.
But at a high end experts have estimated that the rate could reach as high as 4.2 million gallons (100,000 barrels) a day.
On August 5, 2010, after 106 days passed, the leak appeals to be sealed.

Let’s calculate how much oil was spilled into the Gulf. Minimum amount of oil spilled is 2 226 000
Mean value of oil spilled is 244 860 000
Maximum amount of oil spilled is 445 200 000

But how to understand how much it is in the ocean?  There is 643 000 000 000 000 000 gallons of water in the Gulf of Mexico. 643 Quadrillion Gallons!

So there is 643 000 000 000 000 000 of water and maximum 445 200 000 of oil in the Gulf.
